Project components:

Scotia Bank Auditorium:
This 300 seat auditorium is an excellent example of Nova Woods ability to manufacture beautiful and durable high use custom classroom furniture. A series of curved, laminated countertops made from birch provide students with a durable and functional learning environment.

Each desk was laminated together to feature the natural beauty of the wood grain. Detailed edge treatments provide an additional and pleasing visual element.

The countertops are protected from normal wear and tear of constant classroom use with a CATALYZED LACQUER finish.

Display cases:
Two custom display cases were fabricated to showcase posters and other items plus function as a barrier between the hallway and an adjacent casual meeting area. They are made with a birch plywood and finished with a clear lacquer for long term beauty and durability.

Study Carols:
A series of nested study carols were made to provide a convenient place for students to prepare for class. Made from birch and finished with a clear lacquer, they provide a comfortable, functional and durable work space.

Main lobby Reception Service Desk:
Designed as a reception desk to be used for food service during public events, this 30' long service desk is ideal for food and beverage. Complete with sinks, lockable storage and electrical outlets, this desk will be a long serving piece for a high traffic gathering area. The black Corian counter provides a seamless, sturdy and repairable top.
